Environmental Intelligence is a core area of interest for our R+D labs where we can leverage our expertise in earth observation, geospatial analytics, AI and decision science technologies. We are actively exploring innovative applications in the spaces of forestry, woodland, urban tree cover, peatland restoration and carbon monitoring. TreeStock is the first product due for release, born out of a lengthy discovery phase, working closely with end-users and key stakeholders in industry.


TreeStock allows forest stakeholders to get a complete tree inventory of an entire forest at the touch of a button. TreeStock goes further than any other remote sensing product on the market in order to classify the ‘yield class’ of individual trees (a marker of future timber quality) which is the most important metric in agroforestry in terms of revenue. As current measurement is carried out manually, this represents a massive efficiency upgrade for forest mangers and land agents.


By digitising forests at this resolution we will also enable more collaborative and responsive stewardship across the value chain. Investment managers can easier manage and report on vast portfolios for their clients. Regional authorities and Forestry NGOs can manage impact against objectives on key metrics like carbon and pests and disease.
